- Question: What are you guys opinion on the dress code and how it's enforced?
- It's extremely sexist due to the fact that it revolves around the belief that ¨boys will be boys¨
- Few rules that actually apply to guys and even those aren't regularly enforced (i.e drug referenced shirts)
- Short shorts aren't seen as acceptable in our society, but in places like Europe, men wear speedos.
- Question: Do you think there should be regulations about how people should dress and if so, what do you think the limits should be?
- Being out in the world, there are just certain things and areas that people need to cover.
- Dress code should be more personalized.
- Shorts length instead of finger tips because certain peoples arms are long and others are taller.
- Crop top rule can stay. There's no need to show your stomach. If modified, then inches rule as well would be sufficient. Belly button and above should be covered.
- Shoulder rule (two finger thick straps) is unnecessary.
- Personal experiences with dress code violation
- ¨Boys will be boys¨ is promoting rape culture.
- The boys need to learn how to respect girls.
- They shouldn't be so easily distracted, especially since it's worse in the ¨real world¨
- There should be a better reason behind enforcing a dress code other than it distracts males.
- Best reason for dress code would be to look professional.
- How clothing can lead to sexual harassment.
- Taking responsibility for how you look while still being able to be taken serious.
- The way you dress is how you show your personality.
